About Cooking Story
Baby Taylor: Cooking Story is a culinary-education simulation that focuses on "From-Scratch Ingredient Processing." Unlike arcade cooking games, this title emphasizes the tactile journey of preparing a home-cooked meal. From harvesting vegetables in the garden to the precise dicing and sautéing in the kitchen, players learn the "Anatomy of a Recipe." It is a methodical, relaxing experience that celebrates the cultural and family-bonding aspects of cooking, perfect for players who enjoy "Slow Food" aesthetics and structured kitchen tasks.
How to Play
Choose a recipe from Taylor's cookbook and begin the "Gathering Phase." You may need to visit the garden or the fridge to collect specific ingredients. Moving to the prep station, you will use various tools: knives for chopping (requiring timed taps), blenders for mixing, and pans for frying. You must follow the exact sequence—adding spices at the wrong time will affect the "Taste Rating." Once the dish is cooked, you enter the "Plating Phase" to arrange the food and garnishes before Taylor's family does a taste test.
Tips & Tricks
High scores are based on "Culinary Precision." To reach a "Master Chef" level, you must achieve "Perfect" marks during the chopping and stirring mini-games. The pro secret is "Flavor Balancing"—adding the optional garnishes and spices in the exact amounts suggested by the recipe's hidden cues (watch the steam color). Successfully plating the dish within the "Freshness Window" (immediately after cooking) will yield a massive bonus to the final score from the "Judges."
